Polytych

This is my polytych that I created. Again I had no idea what to do. I love softball so I made a softball piece. The sillhouette looks good with the stats n the background. The softball turned out good with the bible verse behind it representing wind. The glove was hard but the pocket of the glove is more stats that are colored to look more like a glove.

Diptych

This is my diptych project. I think it turned out pretty good. I didn't know what i was goin to do at first but I liked my altered book page that looked like this so I used it to create this piece. I stained the wood and made it look like a cross in the midle. I really like this though.

An Important Letter

This was not what I was planning to do with this but I ran out of ideas and this is what it ended up being. The background is copied pages of the bible and red letters. The red letters in the bible are the most important letters in the bible so thats why the follow God is in red letters. I think this turned out pretty good.

Reflection

This page was hard to come up with someting but I think it looked pretty good. I think the blue on top of the pictures turned out pretty good.

The One That Got Away

This peice is very special to me because it has pictures of my brother on it and the picture in the crease of the pages is a picture of one of his shirts. I think this page turned out pretty good. The bible verse was the hardest thing to do. But I think it all turned out great.

Holiday Plans

This is the Holiday plans altered book. I think this a pretty good altered book. This summer I am doing lots of traveling so the idea of a map with the pins worked good I think. Then I included postcards of the places I am going. I also included the bible verse like I do in my other altered book entries.

Diptych

This is the first diptych that I did. It was a little difficult to do in my opinion. Next time I will try to make the 2 images flow better like they belong together. I think it turned out good for my first time.

CD Cover

I really like the cd covers I made. I think they turned out great. I did it all on gimp. It was the first time I used gimp, but it was fun. I really like how this turned out.

Jailed

This is my jailed altered book page. I did the picture on gimp andI really like how it turned out. On the border I painted it orange and tried putting word from magazines on it using citrisolve, but it didn't turned out as good as i wanted it to. I think this page turned out pretty good.

The Wizard of Oz

This is the poster I designed for the Wizard of Oz play. I had a hard time coming up with ideas for the poster so it was a hard project for me. I like the road and the dress. I like how as the road gets closer and looks like it is getting bigger, the words get bigger with it. I guess it did't turn out that bad.

Phone Call

This is the phone call altered book entry. I like the pictures and the background but i don't really like the two together. It looks like I just put pictures on there and it was done, so I need to do a better job on making it look better.

Victory

This is my typography piece. I kinda like the piece but I wish it turned out better than it did. I think it looks pretty plain. I do like the font of the words.

Too Late

This altered book assignment was "Too Late".  I think this page turned out pretty good. The paint stokes can be seen and I dont really like that part but other than that I think it turned out pretty good. It was had to incorporate a Christian side to this peice, but I found something that works.

Eye

I had a great time doing image transfers on this peice. Everything is transfered. I like the blue eye being the focus point with a black and white background.I feel like this is a good design and I really like it.

image transfer

This is another assignment for the altered book. I like this page and how special it is to me. The pictures are from actual mission trips that i have gone on. I thought image transfer was going to be really hard, but it actually wasn't that bad. It was a fun assignment and i will try image transfer on some of my other projects possibly.

music theory

I think this is my favorite altered book entry so far. This page was lots of fun and i think it turned out great. The hardest part was the headphones with the hot glue gun because the cord didn't go the way i wanted it to sometimes and the glue left globs around the cord. I really do like this page.

This is the fibonacci peice I created. It doesn't look that bad. It is a little plain but i do like the color contrast, but the white lines thickness changes and is not that straight. I think it turned out pretty good though.

car in 2030

I really like this page in my altered book. I felt like I did pretty good on it. The red marker did smear a lot but other than that i really like it.
